KwaZulu-Natal, the Zulu Kingdom of South Africa, is a destination that is growing in popularity. It is a fusion of culture, refinement, and environment; additionally, it is the site of the important Battlefields of Fugitive’s Drift and Isandlwana.
Encircled by the balmy Indian Ocean, the area boasts stretches of wide, pristine beaches and a coastline rich in wildlife. Many different species of turtles, including the Leatherback, Loggerhead, Olive Ridley, Green, and Hawkbill, can be found in the waters around Maputaland.
The province’s Game Reserves are home to the Big Five as well as the majority of the Black and White Rhinos. The Sardine Run is in full swing from May to July: a yearly fish feast that draws millions of sardines, schools of sharks, a profusion of seabirds, and Southern Right and Humpback whales, all of which are making their way north along the coastline.
