The region known as Bushmanland, which includes the Khaudum National Park and the Kalahari to the south, is located in eastern Namibia along the country’s border with Botswana. The San Bushmen live their traditional lives here in small villages, gathering roots, seeds, nuts, and other edible plants, as well as hunting.
Even by Namibian standards, Khaudum National Park is isolated, but the more daring traveller will be rewarded with sightings of African wild dogs, buffalo, lions, leopards, and uncommon antelope species like roan, reedbuck, red hartebeest, and tsessbe.
