Overview

Tanzania is one of the exceptional places on the African continent that not many people have visited.

With an unmatched diversity of flora and fauna, it is a land of many wonders.

A few of the real examples are Kilimanjaro, the highest permanently snow-capped free-standing mountain in Africa; the exotic Islands of Zanzibar; the best game sanctuaries in the world, including the Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Ruaha, and Selous; and the Marine Park of Mafia Island.

The area’s natural beauty, topography, and hospitable population have all contributed to the development of fantastic beach vacations, historical and archaeological excursions, game viewing, and some of the best wildlife photo safaris on the continent.

Tanzania is a fantastic destination all year round, with something new to see at every stage of the year. The northern parks can be very picturesque during the long, heavy rainy months of March, April and May but many people don’t think that prolonged rains make for a pleasant safari and so this time of year is when a lot of coastal and island hotels and lodges close, especially in April.
